With Nintendo taking to Twitter to make the announcement across multiple regions, including Australia. As the Nintendo Switch heads into its first holiday season this is the sort of news that solidifies what we've all been thinking for quite a while now - the Nintendo Switch is an awesome console.

In the U.S. more than 1.1 million copies were sold over the first week that Super Mario Odyssey went on sale, making it the fastest-selling Switch game to date.

The phenomenal success also carried over to Europe where again Super Mario Odyssey broke records.
