Expanding upon being able to gift a single game to a friend, Steam has announced it is updating its gifting system to also include a digital gift card with a dollar value.

Physical Steam Gift Cards have been available at various retail outlets for a while now, so this logical next step isn't so much a news revelation, as it is simply letting you know, you can now purchase a Steam Digital Gift Card which allows you to send Steam Wallet funds to friends and family.

Obviously what this is good for is people who don't know what sort of game to buy someone else, thus allowing them to choose, or to spend the digital dollerydoos on their in-game purchases of choice.
