After the excellent Total War: Warhammer we weren't sure what exactly a sequel could offer. Turns out, a lot. New environments, an expanded and impressively detailed campaign map, and a new look at the Warhammer universe that was only hinted at in the original. Yeah, we can't wait to play this.

Here we get a look at the the jungle city of Hexoatl and Elven haven of Lothern, plus a taste of some of the darkness that comes with a land in the midst of perpetual and total, war.

We'll be reviewing Total War: Warhammer II in the coming weeks, in addition to bringing you an interview with the Total War team at Creative Assembly. And, with the studio celebrating 20 years in the industry, we'll also be taking a look back at its long, impressive, and diverse history making games.

Total War: Warhammer II releases September 28.
