Watching the trailer for Tyranny: Bastard’s Wound and hearing that gorgeous score, has reminded me that Obsidian's Tyranny is still one the best narrative games I've played in a long while. Like Pillars of Eternity, but filtered through the choice and consequence setup of a modern adventure game. It's well worth checking out. And now with 'Bastard's Wound', we get a brand new region to explore.

And, people to torture in some way even when we're trying to come up with the most peaceful resolution to a desperate situation.

Here's hoping this leads to sequel proper, because boy-o-boy does Tyranny have a cliffhanger of an ending. Also, the new expansion comes with an update to the core game that features expanded story elements, new dialogue, and a new cinematic finale. So that probably means the sequence of events is now: replay Tyranny, then play Bastard's Wound.
