Recreated in Unreal Engine 4, Tomb Raider The Dagger of Xian is an impressive fan remake of 1997 PlayStation and PC classic. Led by Nicobass, the project really has to be seen to be believed as it looks every bit like a professional publisher-sanctioned remake of classic late-'90s Lara. Except that it's a fan project.

Check it out.

The playable demo, which is available for PC can be obtained here and features the the first cave section of the Great Wall level. Tomb Raider 2, originally came out in 1997, and was a huge hit for Tomb Raider developer Core Design. So much so that Lara Croft began appearing on several magazine covers unrelated to gaming.
