Called Super Meat Boy Forever the title hints at a mechanic where each time you replay a level it gets harder and harder. And can, apparently, be replayed endlessly. The sequel was first announced years ago as a take on the endless runner approach seen in a number of mobile games. And now it's back, in meatier form.

And as per the trailer below, the story will pick up after the events of the first game, with Super Meat Boy and Bandage Girl's kid Nugget being kidnapped by, umm, Dr. Fetus.

Glimpses of gameplay towards the end of the trailer suggest a classic Super Meat Boy experience. Which is good. Super Meat Boy Forever is coming 2018 to PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, iOS and Android.
