Okay, so it's worth noting that the new Starfighter Assault mode in Star Wars Battlefront II is the one I'm most looking forward too. Orbital objective-based multiplayer space battles in the Star Wars universe has been a dream since the release of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II back in 2001. And this new in-depth look at the mode points to that dream becoming a reality.

With development duties for the mode being handled by Criterion, the level of detail not only in the visuals but also the handling of all the different vehicles is impressive.

Also, the Star Card feature of the core Assault multiplayer is making an appearance here with players able to customise their ships. Which also take on different class-style roles in the space battles.

Hype.
