At The Intertantional, the major Dota 2 esports tournament currently taking place in Seattle all week, Valve took the time to announce a brand new game it has in the works for 2018 called Artifact. Now, before you get too excited thinking it might be something to fill the gap left by Half-Life or Portal the full working title is Artifact: The Dota Card Game. Yeah, a CCG for Dota along the lines of Blizzard's Hearthstone and Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Here's the teaser.

No real details have been revealed other than it supposedly will feature three lanes. For card-play. Classic Dota.

This.

What the f*** is up with card games? I feel like they are counter-intuitive. Cards are physical objects you hold in your hand, like little pages from a magic book. Having them represented digitally seems really odd. Yet they're super popular.

I don't get it.

Anyway nice trolling Kosta

playing physical card games requires you to know other neckbeards that are willing to play it with you and then you're still only playing a limited pool of neckbeards.
making them digital opens you to thousands of other neckbeards from all around the world to play with.
it's pretty f*****g simple.
