Season 1 of Batman – The Telltale Series provided a solid take on the Dark Knight with a story that got better and better across each of the five episodes. With Season 2 dubbed Batman: The Enemy Within set to begin next week with the release of Episode 1: The Enigma, the pace looks to be taken up a notch with the arrival of an iconic villain.

Some slight spoilers in the trailer below, and the rest of this piece, if you haven't yet played through Season 1.

Yeah, that's the Riddler. And the return of the Joker who appeared in the latter episodes of Season 1. Telltale have also noted that choices from the first Season will carry over here, and we should expect to see Batman's relationship with The Joker play an important role in how events unfold.

Episode 1, 'The Enigma,' launches digitally August 8 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Mac. A retail release is also coming in October.
