With a sizable USD $70,000 of the even more sizable USD $350,000 Paladins Global Series committed to players in Australia and New Zealand. For those that need a reminder the Global Series is a tournament aimed at aspiring Paladins players from across the globe, and will consist of 10 monthly tournaments.
Also, Hi-Rez Studios is partnering with Facebook to exclusively broadcast the competition which is set to kick-off on August 1. The Oceania region already boasts great talent when it comes to Paladins with Kanga Esports currently seeded third in the world. So this will be a great opportunity for local teams to take a few steps closer to one day participating in global tournaments.
“Over fifteen million players worldwide answered the call and are playing Paladins, so we wanted to provide provide a platform which helps players develop their skills, get noticed, and get paid for it”, said Senior Esports Manager Dan McHugh.
Each month the first three weeks will house open bracket tournaments where the eight best teams from a region will go head to head in monthly finals -- with USD $7,000 up for grabs.
