When it launched in 2015 Dying Light had approximately 700,000 active players. And now more than two years later that number sits at approximately 500,000 active players. Yeah, that's impressive player retention. And makes sense because Dying Light was great at launch, and even better now. And to celebrate Techland will be releasing 10 free DLC packs for the game over the next twelve months.

So, we can probably expect to see player numbers grow.

The DLC packs will include everything from new enemies, weapons, to events, and other mysteries involving "never-seen-before locations". Techland definitely has a hit on its hands so in addition to the new fantasy themed game its working on with one of the lead designers from The Witcher 3 we should probably expect to see a Dying Light 2 in the future.

This is awesome news. I seriously loved the first game and then its expansion.

I'm also REALLY keen to learn more about their new product. Hopefully we learn more out of Gamescom!
