GG EZ Bar will be Australia’s First Esports Bar When it Opens in Melbourne

Set to open its doors in August, GG EZ Bar is set to become Australia's first dedicated esports bar. The venue comes from Jamie Skella and Lachlan McAllister, who was behind award winning bars Mr Wow’s Emporium, Los Barbudos, and Lily Blacks.

With cocktails, restaurant-quality food and state-of-the-art screens showing esports competitions both local and global, GG EZ Bar could end up becoming the perfect evening spot in Melbourne.

It's a simple idea, and a great one too.
“You find that a large number of esports fans only follow one game, but what interests them about one title is generally present in others. They just haven’t been paying attention”, says owner Lachlan McAllister. “If you get people exposed to a greater variety of esport titles, you’ll likely create more knowledgeable, engaged fans and a stronger esports community.”

Yeah, I was gonna say, weird name to choose. Make a bar all about eSports then choose a name that represents all the s*****, toxic, unsportsmanlike behaviour that goes on in the games
