For PC and PlayStation 4. Featuring gorgeous hand-drawn art and animation, plus mechanics that remind us a little bit of Rogue Legacy, Sundered is one of the definite indie highlights of 2017. And as an added bonus developer Thunder Lotus Games are offering its award-winning first game, Jotun, for free on Steam and GOG. But that offer ends today, so be sure to grab it quick!

Here's the launch trailer for Sundered. As you can see, it looks great.

As mentioned above the comparison to Rogue Legacy comes down to the mechanic where after you die you can spend special crystals/currency on various upgrades along a rather huge skill tree. Throw in shortcuts to unlock and a bit of procedural map and enemy placement generation, and Sundered feels unlike any other Metroidvania title we've played.

Which is a good thing.
