Mythic Keystone dungeons were introduced a while back in World of Warcraft. They allowed players and groups to tackle dungeons at higher difficulties in order to complete them within a certain time-frame for some sweet loot. As both a fast-paced and highly competitive part of WoW, Blizzard has today announced that the first Mythic Dungeon Invitational is on the way.
Where teams from around the world will compete for their share of a $100,000 USD prize pool. Completing dungeons. Very cool. Players from the Americas, Europe, China, and Asia-Pacific (which includes Australia and New Zealand) will be eligible to compete in this PvE competition.
Starting with The Proving Grounds, which will run from July 26 to August 9, players and teams will submit their top scores after completing a string of Mythic Keystone dungeons. There the top 32 teams from around the world will be invited to the elimination playoffs where the best dungeon speed runs will determine who gets knocked out.
The final weekend of competition is scheduled to take place in October. The action will be streamed via the Warcraft Twitch
channel, and for more info head here
