Forget dinosaurs and disco parties, Hearthstone is about to get serious. Deathly series, with the return of - gulp - the Lich King. Yeah, he who must not be named. Wait, that's Harry Potter. Anyway, Knights of the Frozen Throne is the new expansion coming to Hearthstone in August. And it will feature a bunch of cool new stuff. And cards. Plenty of cards.

135 new ones to be exact. All touched with the icy grip of the Lich King himself.

Here's a few of the new cards, and as you can see a new power has been added, in the form of Lifesteal which heals players for the damage dealt.

Knights of the Frozen Throne will also offer all players free missions with a final epic showdown against The Lich King himself. Also game-changing is the addition of nine new legendary Hero Cards that will transform Hearthstone’s heroes into Death Knights -- granting them frost-rimed armour and modified powers. And as the missions will be free to play, all players will earn a random Death Knight Hero Card upon completing the Knights of the Frozen Throne prologue mission.
