Impressive art-style aside this grabbed our attention mainly because of the whole musical theme. With a look and feel that is very much Japanese, AereA (which is currently available on Steam) has players take on the role of musical themed characters to fight against musical themed bosses in musical themed environments.

One for fans of both anime-inspired art and classical music.

As one of Great Maestro Guido's disciples, the player explores Aezir; a floating island that was broken into pieces. Their mission is to find and return the nine primordial instruments to restore balance and peace to the world. Players get to play as Wolff the Harp-Archer, Jacques the Cello-Knight, Jules the Lute-Mage and Claude the Trumpet-Gunner. Players have to find their way through all parts of the scattered islands; complete quests, solve puzzles, defeat bosses and discover the truth behind the islands.

AereA is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One for $69.95.
