A surprise announcement from Sony, and from what we can tell this is a remaster of the 2005 classic. Which also got a HD re-release in 2011 for PlayStation 3. This third version of the game is being developed by Bluepoint, and follow on from creator Fumito Ueda's The Last Guardian from last year.

And it looks great, with a pretty impressive new coat of paint.

Although we currently live in the age of re-masters, bringing back a 3D title from 2005 into the current era is definitely a good move. Doubly so if the game in question happens to be Shadow of Colossus.
