When it was announced that Netflix was going to air an animated series based on the Castlevania games, a fair reaction to have was to wonder which version of the game will it look to for inspiration. Not that there's any one right answer it is cool to see the first official look at the series begin with certain classic 8-bit console and the gaming technology we all love -- cartridges.

Very much a teaser what we do see does look cool, with the inclusion of a familiar weapon close-up -- the Castlevania whip.

If this ends up being good then we'd love to see more animated series based off of classic Konami properties from the NES 8-bit era. The original Metal Gear, Contra, And for the deep cut, The Adventures of Bayou Billy.
