Okay, so we're kind of just having fun with the recent Need for Speed tease by developer Ghost Games. Who's first Need for Speed garnered mixed reviews and feedback from fans back in 2015. Some of which was tied to the game being 'always online' and not really feeling like the sort of game that warranted that approach. Not so for the sequel says Ghost in a new post over at needforspeed.com.

A post that really tells us nothing about the game other than it can be played offline, and this will lead to a situation where "you will be able to pause the game".

Expect to hear more about the next Need for Speed, including important information on exactly how many wheels each car will have, at E3 next month.

I think you are at the end of the road when you boast

"cutting edge PAUSE technology"
