Zombies Chronicles, an add on for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is due for release on May 16 for PS4. In it players will get to revisit remastered zombie maps from Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops 2. Each of the eight maps will feature remastered audio and visuals, in addition to the ability to use custom weapons and improved AI. Well, as intelligent as videogame zombies are allowed to be.

The full list of maps included are:
  • Call of Duty: World at War: Nacht der Untoten (Abandoned Bunker), Verruckt (Wittenau Sanitorium), and Shi No Numa (Jungle Swamp)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops: Kino Der Toten (Theater of the Dead), Ascension (Soviet Cosmodrome), Shangri-la (Exotic Jungle Shrine), and Moon (Lunar Base)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Origins (WW 1 France)

No word on the PC or Xbox One versions, but as per usual we should expect to see the content appear about a month or so later. Strange how it's not a standalone release, as we've always expected that sooner or later Activision would release some Call of Duty zombie content separately. And a remastered collection of classic maps feels like the perfect opportunity for that.
