After the closure of THQ one of the properties that quite a few of us were wondering about the future of, was the Darksiders franchise. And now with the franchise in the hands of THQ Nordic (formerly Nordic Games), and with the recent remastered versions of the first two games getting a spin on current gen hardware, we finally have that Darksiders III confirmation.

Coming in 2018, it will put players in the role of Fury in her quest to take out each one of the Seven Deadly Sins. As per the cinematic trailer below Fury will wield a magical chain-like weapon which could pave the way for a dash of Castlevania to join the already great mix of Zelda meets third-person combat of the series.



Darksiders III is currently in development at Gunfire Games, a new studio comprised of many people who worked on the original Darksiders games.
