Microsoft has announced its Games with Gold lineup for April, and it's another great batch of free games for Xbox Live subscribers. On the Xbox One front there's the visually impressive launch title Ryse: Son of Rome available from April 1, and The Walking Dead: Season Two from April 16. The first season of The Walking Dead was offered up in the past so if you've been sitting on it, now's the time to dust off that digital download in preparation for Season Two.

On the Xbox 360 front, the two free games for April are Darksiders and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Both playable on Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility. In addition to the original Darksiders going backwards compatible the sequel, Darksiders II has also been added to the catalogue as of today.
