An announcement that's been on the, err, cards for a while now, comes confirmation from Nvidia that the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is set to debut March 10 at a price point of $699 USD. Hailed as the most powerful GPU ever created, the 1080 Ti boasts a performance increase of 35% over the standard 1080 thanks to its 11GB of next-gen GDDR5X Video Memory. And faster clock speed. Which, even makes it faster than the super-expensive Titan X.
In addition to the announcement it's expected that the 1080 and 1070 prices will drop to make room for the new beastly kid on the block. The card comes clocked at 1538 MHz out of the box, and thanks to new cooling will also allow for overclocking without too much trouble. Not that it'll need any on day one.
Prior to the March 10 launch expect to see some real-world performance tests for the 1080 Ti.
