Chalk this one up to "we want this to be true", because a new report over at Rice Digital is stating that a Shenmue HD Remaster is on track for release later this year. This comes from "a trusted source close to Atlus USA", so take it as you will. But rumours of a Shenmue HD release have been circulating for a while now, and its something that we'd definitely like to see. Especially with Shenmue III on the horizon.

Adding more fuel to the fire is word that Sega registered the domain ShenmueHD.com late last year.

Fingers crossed it happens.
