Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was sleeper hit by every definition of the term. Not many were expecting a Lord of the Rings game released several years after the movies to be any good, let alone an instant classic. Drawing from a number of open world releases, Shadow of Mordor made a name for itself thanks to its dynamic Nemesis system that resulted in an ever changing set of Orc leaders to take out. And now, thanks to a listing that has since been pulled, the sequel Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has been announced.
The listing went up through Target in the U.S., with a release date of August 22. And the following description.
Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.
In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, nothing will be forgotten.
Experience an epic open-world brought to life by the award-winning Nemesis System. Forge a new Ring of Power, conquer Fortresses in massive battles and dominate Mordor with your personal Orc army in Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
A gold edition was also listed that comes with additional story and nemesis expansions.
With the leak there's a good chance that Warner Bros. will move up any planned trailer debut to happen sooner rather than later.

I bought Shadow of Mordor for PS4 originally and liked it. I got the PC version in a steam sale a couple of months ago and installed it but never played it lol. I backed it up and uninstalled it. I should play it before Shadow of War comes out.
