And by presented by Nvidia we mean just that, as the PC specs for Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Wildlands was posted on Nividia's site. Which means no mention of any AMD graphics cards, just CPU's. Okay, so taking the tin foil hat off for a second, Ghost Recon Wildlands is shaping up to be one of the most promising shooters of the year. And with its large open world, and co-op focus, you'll want to make sure you go the right gear to play it right.

The right Nvidia gear that is.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Official Minimum System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400S @ 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-4320 @ 4 GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 660
VRAM: 2GB
RAM: 6GB
OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
HDD: 50GB free space

Ghost Recon Wildlands Official Recommended System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i7- 3770 @ 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 @ 4 GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 or GeForce GTX 970
VRAM: 4GB
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
HDD: 50GB free space

The above specs are to play the game in 1080p with moderate to high settings. Naturally, to max those sliders and check all the advanced graphics options that you totally understand (like ticking the box that turns on "Tesselation HBAO Filter Bump Mapped Extreme Physics Lighting Stuff"), you'll need a GeForce GTX 1070 or GeForce GTX 1080.

Or the AMD equivelant.

Tried the beta on the weekend, it felt pretty janky and pretty s*** to me. Awful physics, the cars and stuff just bounced around like they were inflatable props and traversing things on foot just felt imprecise and crappy and movement didn't feel like it had any flow or smoothness too it, falling hugely short of open world games of the past few years. When you've got a huge open world game, the thing you really want to get right before anything else is making it feel fun and interesting to traverse that world, but they seem to have skipped that step.

The gunplay wasn't particularly satisfying either, had some potential with using the drone to spot people and stuff, but the actual shooting didn't have any satisfying feel to it. AI squadmates were daft too and just seemed to do whatever they wanted, you had a few rudimentary orders you could give them but mostly it felt like you weren't really in control of much, even when giving orders. It did have a neat system where you could mark guys for your squad to take out and they'd synchronise their kill shots with your shots, but due to the controls and the dumb AI it was so awkward to set up the shot and then get a squadmate in position to take the shot, that it only really ended up working for me half the time.

I didn't really think the graphics were anything special either, looked like a game from a few years ago that has been left behind. Even on Ultra it didn't look as good as open world games from last year like The Division, or hell even games from the year before like The Witcher 3 or Just Case 3. And it ran like s*** too on top of not looking like anything special.

As far as content goes, what I saw seemed pretty generic too. All the main missions and side missions I did were just variations on "Travel to this location, kill bad guys in the camp and capture the data/prisoner". Pretty uninspired really, expect more from an open world game these days.

I have not played the beta but since the first video I saw of it, something has seemed off to me. They have an alright idea but I don't think they are hitting the mark. Maybe it is being pushed out earlier than it should be. I dunno but I might pick it up when it's on sale for $20 or something.

The more I see and hear about this game, the less it impresses me.

Played beta, was a lot more fun co-op than single player, but agree with Kel graphics and gameplay underwhelming. Ran like s***e too, on Division I can maintain 90-100 fps on max settings, but I could barely maintain 60fps on medium, but thats beta I'm sure performance will be tweaked. Steam sale game for me imo

The most entertaining thing to come out of it is going to be videos of hilarious glitches
