IGN has posted a new extended gameplay video featuring the Capital Cashino level from the upcoming Yook-Laylee, which you can watch after the jump. As the spiritual successor to Rare's Banjo Kazooie we have high hopes for this game, and as fans of 3D platformers in general we're happy that in 2017 we're getting both this and Super Mario Odyssey. But that being said, something feels a little off in this latest Yooka-Laylee video.

Check it out.

Dare we say it, for a game as bright and vibrant as Yooka-Laylee, some of these environments look a little sparse. And bland. Perhaps a little too big, which was one of the problems the latter half of Banjo Tooie suffered from. With the game recently going gold, and the April release date not too far away, this is probably indicative of the final game.

But, this is only one level. And maybe with the planned N64 filter, it won't look so empty.

Agreed that looks like a spiritual successor to the style of games just with a slightly more high poly on the models. Looks clean and tidy, and a focus on what makes a game great, what you can interact with. Love it!
