By all accounts Horizon Zero Dawn is shaping up to be Game of the Year material. But, its lush futuristic setting and open world RPG mechanics made it one of the biggest undertakings yet for Killzone developer Guerrilla Games. So much so that the studio had to spend years perfecting it tools and building the right team to make this game a reality. In a new series of videos, we get to see some of that process.

And by some we mean that even though these are still technically promotional videos for the February 28 release of Horizon Zero Dawn, they still give us an insight into the behind-the-scenes development of the game.

As its split into three videos be sure to check our Part 2 and Part 3.
