And, it's exclusive to EB Games, where pre-orders are now open. So, what do you get for $349.95 (yeah, that's not a typo)? Well, from what we can tell, that large amount of money is for the 'Premium Thunderjaw 38cm Statue'. A highly detailed and impressive rendition of one of the game's more impressive robo-dinosaur-thingies.

Included in the Horizon: Zero Dawn Thunderjaw Collector’s Edition is:

  • Full retail copy of Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Premium Thunderjaw 38cm Statue
  • Exclusive World Map
  • Exclusive Lithographs
  • Aloy's "Focus" Ear Piece
  • Premium Packaging

Not included in the Horizon: Zero Dawn Thunderjaw Collector’s Edition is a list of reasons one could give to a loved one, spouse, or partner, for spending Lil Timmy's college tuition money on a robot statue.

Depends how high quality the statue is, if its a cheap plasticy piece of crap then its a crazy price but if its a good quality polystone statue or something, and the paint job is as good as in that picture, then its not a bad price. Take $80 off for the game, so $270 for all the other stuff, I paid about $250 for an Overwatch Reaper statue about the same size, so not too bad. Thats assuming though its actually a good quality statue

"Premium Packaging"

hahah. This game looks amazing but this pack is ridiculous. For $250 you can get a bow, a real one bow and shoot something. Like the little statue

you can't give this garbage away in 6 months times :S stick with the disc only unless u want dlc (if there is any). on pc i havent bought a boxed copy in 5 years. ps4 less, as there cd keys arent region free. microsofts xbox one cd keys are usually region free, and cheap to pick up.

Well, I agree in that its not something you'd genuinely buy to "collect", its not gonna be worth anything. But if you wanted a cool statue of a robot dinosaur to display somewhere, and its not a cheap plastic piece of s***, I can see the appeal

I can see how this would work for an established IP but for a new IP it seems kinda silly. I personally would prefer a detailed manual or a novel or something that has some in game usefulness.

But I guess some people like statues of robot dog.
