Earlier today Bethesda announced a new expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, one that will take players back to the island of Vvardenfell. Available in June, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is said to be the biggest new addition to the game yet, with Vvardenfell being the largest zone added since launch. And thanks to the recent One Tamriel update both new and old players alike can head straight to the land of giant mushrooms, volcanoes, and wizards to embark on a new story set 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls III.
As highlighted in a fancy new CG trailer.
The update isn't limited to a new zone and sets of quests for players to embark on, as the Morrowind expansion is also set to introduce a new playable class -- The Warden. Which, as the name suggests, is focused on nature-based magic, and a combat ally in the form of a War Bear. Also coming is a new smaller-scale PvP mode called Battlegrounds, that will focus on 4v4v4 battles in arena-style environments.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 6, 2017. It will replace the current version of the game at retail, with a special Upgrade Edition for existing players to be sold separately for $59.95 AUD.
