The Nilfgaard! Which is a good thing, because they were my go to faction when playing GWENT in The Witcher 3. Coming to the GWENT Closed Beta on February 6, the Nilfgaard faction will naturally beef up the current card pool quite substantially. And will also be added alongside new faction-specific cards for the Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, Skellige and Monsters factions.

Still unsure as to what GWENT is all about. Well, in addition to this announcement developer CD Projekt RED has also release a handy "A round of GWENT in 60 seconds" that aims to explain what its all about. Or at least, give you a basic understanding of why normally pacifist playing cards are now engaged in epic battles.

Also, registration for the Closed Beta (currently being held on Xbox One and PC) is still open. So be sure to sign-up if you haven't already.
