Announced at the Nintendo Switch reveal we now know that Fire Emblem Warriors comes from the same partnership between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo (with a dash of Team Ninja) that resulted in Hyrule Warriors -- the Legend of Zelda meets Dynasty Warriors hybrid. Now, if your a fan of the series this news may not be ideal, but, Nintendo has also confirmed that a proper Fire Emblem title is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018.

Fire Emblem Warriors is also headed to the Nintendo 3DS and both versions are due for release later in the year. The announcement came via a Fire Emblem specific Nintendo Direct earlier today, where the following extended trailer that showcases a bit of gameplay also debuted.
