One of the highlights this year has to have been the release of Total War: Warhammer, which successfully added a dose of high-fantasy to a series renown for its historical leanings. And although there has been a steady stream of updates to the game since its release, none have been as substantial as the upcoming 'Realm of the Wood Elves'. It not only adds a new playable race to the fold, but also provides a new mini-campaign set around the destruction of the forest and the protection of a giant mystical tree.

After the grim and intense war against the forces of Chaos, a giant mystical tree and lush green forests seems like just the right change of pace. Or background, as there will still be plenty of war. Totally.

Check it out.
