World famous videogame designer and the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, Hideo Kojima, is headed to Australia early next year as part of RTX Sydney (the Rooster Teeth Expo) in February. Hideo Kojima will be speaking at a panel during the event to discuss "the future of game development and Mr. Kojima's storied history as one of the medium's greatest innovators." Which may or may not include advice on how to create abstract and seemingly nonsensical trailers and still be able to get unanimous praise and build hype.

Okay, digs at Death Stranding aside, this is great news for local videogame fans, as Hideo Kojima remains one of the most well-known and respected game creators working today.

RTX takes place on February 4 and February 5, and tickets are available now.
