In the first of many franchise specific pieces we begin our BlizzCon 2016 wrap-up with a look at all the Diablo news from the event, give you our thoughts on the new Necromancer class, plus all of the great new additions coming to the game in 2017. Sure we didn't get a sequel announcement, but odds are that any potential Diablo 4 is a few years off from release. And as seen with the recent Overwatch launch, they seem to be actively closing the whole announcement to release cycle.

That being said Diablo III still has a lot of life yet, and with Seasons finally making their way to consoles, 2017 should be the strongest year for the game since the release of Reaper of Souls.

And as an avid player, I couldn't be happier.

With the announcement that Diablo III would be getting the Necromancer as a new playable class coming during the BlizzCon opening ceremony, it immediately felt like the game was given a new lease on life.
