So then, what does a Serious Sam VR game play like? Well, with mostly positive reviews so far it looks to retain the series' sense of fun and raw action. With the added immersion that comes with Virtual Reality. Currently, Serious Sam VR is limited to the HTC Vive due to its motion controllers and space mapping tech. An Oculus Rift version is expected to drop once Oculus Touch controllers are out in the market.
There's a launch trailer too, which you can check out below.
Although mostly positive, some of the complaints so far are aimed at the game being a pretty simple stand and shoot title, fending off waves of enemies.
Well. I seriously hope that Alen Ladavac has kept my name in the credits!!.. I did after all help shape the first title in all its awesomeness. waaaay back when...:)
Same. Well my name was in the second encounter credits along with my ugly mug in one of the secret areas. Any word whether this can be played without a VR headset the old fashion way?
Someone is inevitably going to go down with a heart attack or medical issue playing VR stuff like this. Hope it doesn't spoil things as this looks like fun, guess they just have super strong disclaimers in place.
Croteam is a good studio, currently playing The Talos Principle which is interesting.
