When it debuted with Gears of War 2, Horde Mode was so simple in its design that it quickly became a co-op staple and part of the gaming lexicon in the years that followed. The premise was simple, group up with friends and try to survive increasingly more difficult waves of enemies. Gears of War 4 naturally brings the co-op mode back with Horde 3.0. This time though with 5 different classes to choose from, and what looks like more detailed and strategic defensive options.

The 5 classes are shooter staples, and all come with different weapon load-outs and abilities. You've got your Sniper, Engineer, Soldier, Scout, and Heavy. Which lines up perfectly with the 5 player, 50 wave action of Horde 3.0.

Check it out.

Gears of War 4 will be out October 11 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC.
