It has been a long time between drinks for Dawn of War fans. While Games Workshop seems gung-ho about shifting the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K licences around to as many game studios as possible, Relic's brilliant Real Time Tactical game has been treading water since 2011--half a decade.

I leapt at the opportunity to play the game again while at Gamescom, which you can watch embedded below, or click through here for a combination of the video and a written transcript of what I played.

Yeah man, huge fan. It was like, I wanted to be good at Company of Heroes, but DOW and DOW2 just clicked with me so much more. TBH I liked DOW1 more than 2 though.

Cool. Getting good at company of heroes is tough with its supply line and line of site cover mechanics. Play it on easy though as its one of the best strategy games out there. To me though I liked DOW2 more, cause of the diablo-style ARPG mechanics mixed with the Company of Heroes line of site stuff. And replaying it was more 'what sort of build should i try'... but either way i'm excited for DOW3 and it does sound very cool
