Not that they need to sell us on the gritty and classic organised-crime elements of Mafia III. That deal was pretty much sealed when the first cinematic trailer for the game debuted. But hey, it's Gamescom time so that means all the big titles planned for release throughout the rest of the year will be getting slick new trailers.

Now, the following could be considered spoiler-ish as it most likely deals with the early parts of the game. Where Vietman vet Lincoln Clay returns home to a life of crime with friends and family. This leads to a big heist, some double crossing, and lots of blood.

And it all looks pretty amazing, with great character detail, animation, and loads of style.

Mafia III will be out October 7, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
