Say it ain't so CD Projekt RED! Why must you insist on a level of polish and stability that leaves a great first impression. Actually, now that you mention it, sure, delay the closed beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game that was originally scheduled to kick-ff next month. That we were super excited to play. We can wait an extra month. Sort of.

The announcement made via email was not what we wanted to hear, but anything for the greater good. Because, Gwent is life.

At E3 we announced that we’d launch the Closed Beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game in September. Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing. We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn’t mean we don’t realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait. Closed Beta will now begin on October 25th.

From what I played of Gwent in The Witcher pubs in the game, isn't it pretty similar to Backgammon but with character cards and magic?

I mean it's an interesting game, but the kind of game that's good as a mini-game just the way it is in The Witcher, maybe it's multiplayer in this version of it. That would be worth it

It's an entirely expanded CCG Trill, and features a mini isometric single-player RPG fully voiced and tapping into deeper Witcher law. And yep, it has multiplayer -- it plays almost nothing like the mini game, barring the three lanes and archetypes card system

can't wait for this. i'm currently playing through the witcher 3 blood and wine expansion and i'm really enjoying the new skellige deck.
