From the creators of Saints Row comes a new game set within the same universe, somehow, called Agents of Mayhem. With a visual style that is reminiscent of a certain hero shooter crossed with Crackdown, Agents of Mayhem puts players in the shoes of a team of over the top action heroes in a futuristic Korea. After a stylish cinematic trailer debut prior to E3 we now have a bunch of gameplay footage courtesy of IGN.

One of the cool features we see is the ability to switch between agents mid-mission in the same round about way as classic fighting game Marvel Vs Capcom 2. With the agents themselves being as bright and colourful, and varied, as characters in a fighting game.

Although the footage we see is mainly combat-based, we do know that the game takes place in Seoul, Korea and the large city will serve as the game's open world to explore. With vibrant visuals, and even RPG-like damage numbers and special moves, it kind of looks like this would work well as a co-op experience. But as Volition states, Agents of Mayhem will be a strictly single-player experience.
