At this stage we're just counting down the days until CD Projekt RED officially announce and unveil a standalone Gwent game. Which, for those that are unaware is the addictive, deep, strategic, and rewarding card combat game within The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. And now with a trademark filing and a leaked logo, it looks like Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is indeed happening!

Rumours of the title's existence began circulating when the company announced that it was working on "a new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio", and that GOG Galaxy would be updated to allow for multiplayer gaming later this year to support an as yet unannounced title. It just had to be Gwent. And we couldn't be happier.

The trademark filing comes via the the European Union Intellectual Property Office and is for Gwent The Witcher Card Game. And, there's also this sweet looking logo to boot.
