Called Fallout Cascadia the size of the mod has been described as somewhere between the recent Far Harbor expansion and Fallout 3. With a team of 18 people working on the project, the goal is to make it as widely available as possible. Which means it may even end up on consoles. With no release date set, work on the project has increased steadily since the release of the Creation Kit.
Cascadia is an upcoming new world-space mod for Fallout 4 set in a retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic version of Seattle and the surrounding areas. Users will start a new adventure entirely separate from the main game. The scale of this project is a land area that is just a bit smaller than Fallout 3, but more quests and locations than Fallout 4’s Far Harbor DLC. Inside the mod, players will find new quests that challenge them mentally and morally, locations that tell a story, and factions that are vying for control.
Now large scale mod projects like this often crumble under the weight of their ambition, but we're hoping that's not the case here. A new Fallout campaign set in Seattle sounds like a great idea, and the Fallout mod community is passionate enough to make this a reality.
