This year marks the first time since people decided it would be a smart thing to record the passage of time that an Assassin's Creed game won't be released at the end of the year. Well, that may be exaggerating the situation but it certainly feels like it. Anyway, in place of a new game we'll be getting a Major Motion Picture Based on the Videogame Phenomenon! Simply called Assassin's Creed. And now we have a trailer. And it looks pretty good.

Very cool that the movie looks to follow the whole reliving ancestors stuff and treat it like the scifi-meets-historical franchise that it is. Oh, and Michael Fassbender looks awesome in his assassin garb.

Bad music, future scenes don't look that great, but the period scenes look fantastic.

Yeah looks a lot like the games. S***** pointless future plot that distracts from the awesome periodical assassination stuff.
