Due sometime later this month the next big update to The Division will focus on rewarding players with better loot across a wider range of activities. In its weekly State of the Game stream on Twitch, developers announced that with the next update players can expect better weapon and equipment drops across Hard Mode, Challenge Missions, Incursions, and the Dark Zone. Also, a high-bracket 200+ Gear Score Dark Zone is coming, one that will see higher level enemies and the highest level loot.

Which, truth be told, sounds a little confusing because better drops would imply that the best loot would be obtainable regardless of mode, bracket, or difficulty. Baby steps, but it's good to hear that players can expect to see fewer high-end gear mods dropping, and that they're actively trying to shift the focus away from crafting. Which currently stands as the only viable way to get the best loot.

No word on when the 1.2 patch will drop, but we can expect more details in the coming weeks.
