Save the universe. Got it. 25 diverse heroes, all from various galactic backgrounds. Sure. An evil dude who wants to destroy entire systems. Right, but why? And how. Also, where am I? With Gearbox's Battleborn launching next week, figuring out where all the heroes fit into the story can get a little tricky. So to set the scene, and get you up to speed with the world of Battleborn, Gearbox has released a handy three-part motion comic series.


Chapter 1: Running the Numbers

A few years and several hundred star veilings are enough to drive even the most loyal officers to betrayal.




Chapter 2: The Rescue

The Varelsi invasion is becoming overwhelming but the United Peacekeeping Republics (UPR) will not leave their own man, clone, or avian behind.




Chapter 3: No More Heroics

When the end of the star system is immanent, a UPR commander must choose between obeying orders, or saving untrustworthy potential allies.
