Blizzard has announced that August 30 will be the launch date for the new World of Warcraft expansion Legion. As the latest expansion to the decade-long MMO Legion will bring a new continent to explore (The Broken Isles), a new hero class to master (the Demon Hunter), introduce Artifact Weapons, as well as raise the level cap to 110. Plus, a promise that "realms will shatter" and "heroes will fall". Intense.
“Legion opens a dark and thrilling new chapter in one of the Warcraft series’ greatest conflicts, and things will never be the same for some of Azeroth’s most iconic heroes and villains,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “This expansion is loaded with features and content that give players whole new ways to explore the world and customize their heroes. We’re looking forward to sending everyone into battle against the Burning Legion this August.”
Like all expansions there will also be a limited collectors edition retail release ($89.99 USD) that will come packed with a bunch of digital bonuses, an art book, behind the scenes Blu Ray, soundtrack, and mouse pad.
