Cliff Bleszinski's forthcoming shooter, Lawbreakers, from his startup studio Boss Key Productions will be exclusive to Valve's Steam platform, it was announced overnight. You can also Wishlist the game right now on Steam.

LawBreakers is an upcoming new first-person shooter in which even the laws of physics can be shattered, creating intense gravity-based combat and resulting in an ever-evolving and bloody arena. Set in a futuristic rebuilt America, players will choose whether to kill for the nobility of the “Law,” or go out for blood as a “Breaker,” as they take part in the conflict raging across iconic locations including the boiling oceans off the Santa Monica coastline, to a gravity ravaged Grand Canyon and nearly unrecognizable Mount Rushmore.
The team is aiming for the game to release as a digital premium title, however, have said they will not be pricing it as such (usually around USD$60).

"As the game continued to take shape, we realised free-to-play wasn’t the right fit for what we’re building,” said Cliff Bleszinski via press release. “LawBreakers is a competitive game at heart and that means balance is a big priority to me, my team, and our community. Using a digital premium model helps ensure an even playing field by giving fans access to every available role without any barriers.”

There's currently no official release date, but the game will be playable at this year's PAX East (next month), while we're being told more info on public testing and more will be forthcoming soon. Check out some new screens for Lawbreakers below.
