Not to be confused with the announced but not shown Star Wars Battlefront VR experience coming to PlayStation VR from EA and DICE, Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine is a separate thing coming to HTC and Valve's Vive from Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic. Which means its more tech demo than a fully fledged game. But, it features light-saber action, and deflecting blaster bolts in a setting that almost single handedly justifies the existence of VR.

Okay so that's probably just the opinion of a diehard Star Wars fan, but seeing is believing. So see this, albeit 2D rendition of the virtual-awesomeness that can only be Star Wars VR.

And sure, it's only a demo. But what a demo!

Isn't it just another on-rails scripted 'experience'? The sort of thing I'd try at a friend's place or pay a few bucks for as an attraction at a theme park, but not the sort of thing that makes me want to drop a thousand dollars plus on a VR headset.
