Tyranny is a partnership between Obsidian Entertainment and publisher Paradox Interactive, and is expected to release sometime later this year. And its set in a fantasy world where the battle between good and evil has already taken place -- and the bad guy won. Specifically a perpetually volcano-lit rapscallion by the name of Kyros the Overlord. Sorry Trump supporters. In Tyranny, players will take on the role of one of Mr. Evil Leader's officers as they roam the countryside dispensing judgement in the form of summary execution.

As a game from the makers of Pillars of Eternity and Fallout: New Vegas we can probably expect a lot of tough choices in a world completely overrun run by evil. And with the wonderful and nuanced character-driven story seen in something like Pillars of Eternity, we should probably expect more of the same. With the same in this case meaning a wonderful RPG that will probably end up on a lot of year-end best-of lists.
